For seven years Ron was very fortunate to have a team boat arrangement with both Ranger Boats and Skeeter Boats. "They are both great boats and I will always be grateful to the folks at Ranger and Skeeter for their support. This year however, I decided to purchase my own boat and motor to tournament fish. Having had a wide range of experience in the past with quality boats , I decided to look into the aluminum boat option as I knew what I wanted and felt Xpress Boats had the solution. After visiting the Xpress Boats website, reviewing stats and options available, I made my choice and have been most impressed".
Ron has tournament fished for more than thirty-five years and now retired and able to fish in a wide variety of environments as much as he wants. The Xpress boat offers Ron a much more of a complete package for his needs. "I wanted lower maintenance, lighter weight, less overall expense to trailer and operate, with all the features and benefits to fish tournaments without sacrificing any performance".
Ron said, I can tell you that my first weekend to use my new X19 in a BASS-Weekend Series Tournament on Toledo Bend Reservoir was a great experience. We had winds up to thirty miles per hour and I was able to fish everywhere I wanted to and go wherever I wanted to go. I spent three days on the water and was as comfortable as I have ever been in any boat. My co-angler could not believe the way the boat ran and handled the rough water and was amazed at how dry the boat was. Ron went on to say, Obviously this will be an on-going experience, but for now I could not be more pleased.
As a side note, Ron fished two days of practice, and by tournament day he had only burned 14 gallons of fuel total. That Yamaha SHO coupled with the Hyper-lift hull is everything that they say it is, one amazing fast, comfortable, capable fishing platform.
After many years, I can honestly say…I have found the solution and now part of the solution.
